Renny Jackson's new album "Low on the Sand and Loud on the Stone", marks his most personal work to date. Its unlikely origins lie in a charity shop, where a worn copy of The Nation’s Favourite Love Poems sparked a creative thread that resurfaced years later during a moment of personal crisis.

Turning back to the anthology, Jackson found solace and inspiration, shaping a collection of songs that reflect on loss, joy, death and the natural world. The record’s intricate fingerpicking, haunting piano and tender vocals evoke the spirit of artists such as Nick Drake, John Martyn and Richard Thompson, while retaining Jackson’s own distinctly English voice.
